The Store and Thaw Colostrum Starter Kit provides everything needed to safely collect, store, organise, and manage frozen colostrum for calves. Designed to work alongside the Store and Thaw system, the Store and Thaw Colostrum Starter Kit helps farms improve colostrum management, feeding hygiene, and newborn calf care.
This practical starter kit includes essential equipment for measuring colostrum quality, filling and storing colostrum efficiently, and maintaining organised freezer storage. The included refractometer allows quick colostrum quality testing, helping ensure calves receive high-quality first feeds to support immunity and healthy development.
Supplied with 40 reusable 5-litre colostrum bags and screw caps, the kit supports hygienic storage and efficient thawing routines. The stainless steel wall-mounted filling bracket, along with the wide bore jug and funnel, helps simplify filling and handling during collection.
To support organised storage, the kit also includes freezer labels, a marker pen, and plastic freezer baskets for easy identification and rotation of stored colostrum supplies. A thermometer and laminated instructions are also included to assist with accurate thawing and correct system use.
