Shoof Walkease Starter Kit
The Shoof Walkease Starter Kit is designed as an early-intervention solution for managing mild hoof trauma in dairy cows. Walkease blocks act as a temporary claw prosthetic, helping relieve pressure on the affected claw and supporting comfortable movement while natural recovery takes place. They are not intended to replace conventional claw shoes, but instead offer a fast, practical option for short-term support.
Manufactured from a flexible EVA material, Walkease blocks provide a cushioned, shock-absorbing surface that is gentle for the cow to walk on. One of the key advantages of the system is its speed and simplicity of application. Each block can be fitted either way up, making it suitable for both left and right claws without needing different models or adjustments.
Once applied, Walkease blocks typically remain in place for 7–14 days, which is often sufficient time for recovery where claw damage or trauma is mild. During this period, the block gradually wears down naturally through normal movement. This self-wearing design means no follow-up handling is required to remove the block, reducing stress on the animal and saving time for the operator.
