Shoof Walkease Blocks are designed as an early-intervention hoof claw prosthetic, offering fast, practical relief for cattle with mild hoof trauma. They are not intended to replace conventional claw shoes, but instead provide a quick, low-stress solution that supports recovery while minimising handling time.
Made from a flexible EVA material, Shoof Walkease Blocks are soft and forgiving underfoot, making them comfortable for the cow to walk on while reducing pressure on the affected claw. One of the biggest advantages of the Walkease system is its speed and ease of application, allowing treatment to be carried out efficiently in busy trimming or farm situations.
The clever reversible design means each block can be used on either the left or right claw, simplifying stock management and reducing the need to hold multiple block types. Once fitted, Shoof Walkease Blocks are designed to remain in place for approximately 7–14 days, which is typically sufficient for recovery where injury or lameness is mild.
As the block naturally wears away over time, there is no need to restrain or handle the animal again for removal, reducing stress on both cow and handler and saving valuable labour.
