The Draminski Mastitis Detector MD4Q2 gives farmers the ability to spot udder health issues long before visible symptoms appear, helping protect cow welfare and milk quality while reducing veterinary costs. By measuring the electrical resistance of milk from each quarter, the device identifies early changes linked to rising salt levels—one of the first indicators of sub-clinical mastitis.
This early detection allows farmers to take action before the infection develops, supporting faster recovery, reduced cell counts, and better long-term udder performance.
Built for real farm environments, the MD4Q2 features a waterproof housing, making it suitable for use in the parlour, stable, or out in the field. A large LED display shows readings from all four quarters at the same time, making comparisons quick and straightforward during milking.
With an internal memory capable of storing 250 animals and up to 200,000 measurements, the Draminski Mastitis detector is ideal for herd management. Results can be easily transferred to a computer via USB for further interpretation, monitoring, or record keeping. Powered by standard AA batteries, it is practical, portable, and ready to use whenever you need it.
