The updated design allows the Trusti Tuber Calf Feeding Starter Kit Generation 2 to be used on cattle up to 200kg, making it especially valuable when older calves or youngstock require hydration or nutritional support. Supplements and electrolytes can be easily added to the hydration mix, providing a flexible option for managing illness or recovery. This capability fills an important gap, as few feeding systems are suitable for animals in the 80kg–200kg weight range.
In addition to calves, the Trusti Tuber Calf Feeding Starter Kit Generation 2 is also suitable for use on adult sheep and goats, offering further versatility for mixed livestock farms. For best biosecurity practice, it is strongly recommended to use separate Trusti Tuber units for healthy and sick calves—one dedicated to colostrum feeding newborns and another for treating sick animals—to help reduce the risk of pathogen transmission.
